A charming antique Edwardian pale rose gold double-sided glass photo locket that looks like a solid gold but it is not hallmarked and we are offering it as rolled gold as opposed to solid gold. It contains 2 antique photos of a lady and young boy, very likely mother and son.

This dainty sentimental locket can be enjoyed as it is or you could replace the pictures with your own photos, keepsakes or even gemstones. It opens by gently unscrewing the bail at the top allowing access to the photo compartment inside. The glass covers are gently curved and the screw mechanism aligns perfectly to close the locket, screwing back tightly to keep the contents secure.

Rolled gold (gold filled) which, is a mechanically bonded overlay of solid gold, it is much thicker than modern electroplating and can withstand plenty of wear without wearing away of the gold layer.

We have added a new 18" gold vermeil (rose gold plated sterling silver) belcher chain for immediate wear. Our chains are made in Italy, they are high quality and fully hallmarked. The belcher or rolo chain with its elegant round links is one of the most popular antique style neck chains still available today and they are perfect for these antique lockets.

MATERIALS: Locket 9ct rolled gold/gold filled, chain sterling silver vermeil

HALLMARKS: Locket none, chain '925' for sterling and 'GP' for gold plated

MEASUREMENTS: Locket, 1-3/8 inches high with bale and 7/8" wide (35x25mm), depth 4mm

WEIGHT: Total weight 5.5 grams (locket 2.9 grams)
