This beautiful antique Arts & Crafts era necklace is elegant and unusual.
The front features a silver crescent shaped central panel with a large vivid purple amethyst cabochon set into a collet. Gold curlicues flank the stone at each side and granulated gold beads accent the base of the crescent. The amethyst is open backed allowing light through to enhance the stone which just glows, it is difficult to pick up the bright purple hue with our camera so it looks rather dark in the photos.
A fine curb chain with a small discreet bolt ring fastener completes this feminine necklace which at 16-1/4" long nestles daintily just at the base of the throat. Lovely quality and workmanship.
