A superb quality English Victorian sterling silver double Albert watch chain with a 9ct gold and silver dangling pendant fob hallmarked for 1897.
This fabulous chain features thick curb links and a heavy duty dog-clip fastener and it is the ideal length for wear as a necklace with the fob perfectly positioned in the centre of the chain .
A wonderful two sided Scottish symbolic fob crafted in silver and gold dangles from the chain. The fob is intricately engraved with cut-outs. One side is completely silver and is decorated in the Scottish lion rampant, a Saltire (St Andrews) and thistles. The reverse has a 9ct gold overlay shield engraved "W.Keir" and gold ribbons engraved "E.C.C" and "1897" with thistles and a cross in silver.
Gorgeous piece and a unique addition to any antique jewellery collection. Watch chain necklaces are very on trend but it is a fashion that has never really gone out of style with women commandeering these handsome chains and fobs since Victorian times.
