Not to be confused with French Jet, which is glass this striking vintage sterling silver and marcasite ring showcases Whitby Jet, a fossilized mineral gemstone millions of years old that is only found in Whitby, a seaside hamlet in England.

Knuckle length the ring features an elongated pear shaped Whitby jet cabochon edged in a frame of rosettes set with tiny marcasite stones. The under gallery is slightly raised giving the ring a tall impressive profile. Beautiful statement ring, in a wonderfully Gothic style with the quality and the skilled level of workmanship that you would expect in a Whitby piece. Our shop is located in the heart of the old Victorian Whitby jet industry and our jet is locally sourced.
