A charming antique 9ct gold pocket watch key fob.
This is a very small watch key, it would have been worn as jewellery, typically on a gold Albertina watch chain, and used to wind a Victorian lady's pocket watch.
The key is guilloche engraved in a geometric pattern and it has a swivel ring at the top decorated with a gold bead. It measures 1" (2.5cm) and weighs 1.7 grams, it is not hallmarked and we have acid tested it to verify that its 9ct gold purity
It is in lovely condition, perhaps the engraving is not as crisp as it once was, but countless fingers have used it to wind pocket watches and we think this adds to the antique charm!
The key is a perfect size to add to a bracelet and the swivel ring is wide enough to attach to your favorite chain for wear as a necklace too. This lovely gold trinket is all you could want from a petite piece of antique jewellery, all ready to add to your collection!
