This lovely antique silver floral locket, believed to hail from the Art Deco era it is a generous size with a gorgeous pillowed profile. It suspends from an old sterling silver chain with heavy duty curb links and a bolt ring clasp.
The locket features a raised sunflower or daisy motif on both sides with engraved tram lines around the flower head and petals which gives a pretty 3-dimensional effect. The yoke has a generously sized fan shaped bale that is pillowed too so it adds to the lovely decorative appeal. The locket opens from the side to reveal 2 fairly deep stations for photos or other precious keepsakes. There are 2 silver picture rings inside along with paper liners. The picture rings are snug fitting but they are thin and flexible so they can be taken out and put back in easily enough using tweezers.
The locket is in good antique condition. There is moderate surface wear and tarnish as you would expect of any used antique item, and some tiny shallow dents and surface scratches. Please see the photos and excuse any oddly discoloured areas, the locket is highly reflective with a mirror polish so it is very difficult take photos of it without capturing any reflections. The locket closes properly with a satisfying click and the chain is perfect with no damage to the links.

HALLMARKS: the locket is unmarked and has been acid tested to verify that it is sterling, the chain is stamped 'sterling' on the clasp
