A classic 1/4 carat diamond vintage solitaire engagement ring in 14ct white gold. The ring features a knife-edged band and a high 4 claw setting.
The knife-edge creates an optical illusion of a thin band. As our eyes are drawn to the edges of the band, we tend to measure the width of the band at its thinnest point. This setting is designed to 'float" the diamond and high claws allow the passage of light through the stone adding to the rings brilliance and sparkle.
Gorgeous ring, understated but plenty of presence, looks fabulous stacked and can hold its own with thick, heavy or D-profile bands.
