Fabulous Victorian sterling silver extra long guard chain featuring classic curb links, often known as a wheat chain. The chain terminates in a white bead embellished oval link attached to a large bolt ring that swivels.
Add a locket or pendant or not, it has interest whether worn long, doubled or tripled. During the Georgian and Victorian eras these versatile chains were one of several jewels worn at the same time and were used to attach, and keep close at hand, all manner of things. Please note the locket pictured is not included.
MATERIALS: 925 sterling silver, acid tested
MEASUREMENTS: The chain measures 4mm wide with a total length of approx. 62"(158cm): it measures 31" (79cm) down each side. The bolt ring is 17mm in diameter and 2.6mm thick

CONDITION: In very, very good antique condition with expected signs of age and wear, please see photos. The links are solid and free flowing, there is an old soldered repair to one of the links that is barely noticeable and doesn't affect wear or appearance.
