This gorgeous antique Art Nouveau sterling silver and enamel pendant necklace dates to around 1905 and is wonderfully is sinuous and tactile. Possibly made by Charles Horner, although it isn't marked, the pendant takes the form of a stylised winged creature, perhaps a bat or moth.
The pendant is refined and delicate with the design stamped into the silver. The surface of the silver is decorated in beautiful iridescent aquamarine blue enamel. The pendant suspends from 2 chains with oval links that connect to the delicate necklace chain that has flat oval links. The necklace is finished in a rare free- form natural freshwater pearl that dangles from the bottom of the pendant.
Just gorgeous, an elegant and striking way to connect yourself with early 20th century fashion and oh so collectible!
