Showcasing exquisite Victorian workmanship this highly ornate brooch boasts a large oval cabochon of deep apple green semi-translucent chrysoprase in the centre and curved lines of vivid pink rubies. The silver work features seashell and curling feather motifs with flowers enamelled in purple, crescent moons in white enamel and curled ribbons in blue-black enamel. Every inch is intricately detailed with the reverse of the brooch decorated in scrolls and silver beads and to finish it has a sturdy pin back with a c-clasp.
A beautiful antique Austro-Hungarian brooch through and through, with all of her incredible detailing she is the perfect statement piece and highly collectible too!

MATERIAL: sterling silver
GEMSTONE: Presidium tested: 10 gently graduating pink rubies, cabochon cut , measuring approx 1-3mm diameter. 1 oval cabochon cut chrysoprase measuring 20x15mm.
MEASUREMENTS: 2-1/8" (5.5cm) across, 1-1/4" (3cm) top to bottom
DATE: circa 1900 Victorian, early Edwardian
WEIGHT: 15.7 grams.
HALLMARKS: none visible, acid tested and verified sterling silver
CONDITION: in very, very good antique condition with minimal wear. There is a demarcation line in the chrysoprase, one side of the stone is lighter than the other, this is a natural inclusion and not a hairline crack. The pin back in perfect working order.
