A beautiful and incredibly detailed antique 15ct yellow gold "boat" style ring stamped with good clear hallmarks for Birmingham in 1874.
The ring features 2 vivid purple pear cut amethysts accented by creamy white natural pearls, 2 in the centre and one at each shoulder. The gorgeous old world gemstones sit on top of a scrollwork undergallery and to add even more to the beautiful intricacy the shoulders are decorated in ornate engraving that travels all of the way around the band.
Absolutely gorgeous, this ravishing antique ring oozes femininity and charm.

DATE: Victorian, 1870's
CONDITION: in very good antique condition with signs of wear and age as expected in an antique ring. The tiny claw tips around the amethyst and pearl on one side have worn away but the gemstones remain securely set in their bezel cups (the tips are decorative rather than functional) please see the photos. This ring has been professionally cleaned and polished and it's ready to wear or to give as a gift but as with any antique ring over 150 years old you should wear her with the care and consideration due to a very old lady!
