A high quality and fairly heavy solid sterling silver antique Victorian "Albertina" bracelet. This beautiful Albertina is the elaborate version of the Albert watch chain. Albertina chains tend to be much prettier with lots of decorative features and they were worn as jewellery rather than as functional item.
Etruscan Revival in design this bracelet features 3 rows of rolo link chain at each side with the middle and each end accented in a puffy neoclassical heart and chubby urn charms. The charms are solid cast silver (not thin and hollow) which results in a substantial Albertina that will withstand plenty of wear. One end of the bracelet has a swivel dog clip and the other end is decorated in a elegant tapered T-bar and a openwork love heart charm.
This bracelet is a generous length so will fit up to a larger wrist size. A gorgeous and substantial Victorian bracelet, a must have for any discerning antique jewelry collection!
MATERIALS: sterling silver throughout
MEASUREMENTS: 9" (23cm) laid flat measured from the end of the clip to the large silver ring attached to the dangling heart charm. The bracelet is approx. 5/8" (1.5cm) wide. Central heart charm 22x12mm, dog-clip 22x8mm, T-bar 30mm, dangling heart charm 15mm

HALLMARKS: stamped '925' with a 'G' logo on the dog-clip & T-bar, we have acid tested other components to confirm that it is sterling throughout.
DATE: circa 1900, Victorian/Edwardian
CONDITION: this Albertina is in excellent antique condition, it is tarnish free and beautifully polished and the clip is in perfect working order. A little of the detailing on back of 2 of the urn charms has worn smooth (where the bracelet fastens), this is charming evidence of loving use over many, many years.
