A World War 2 era German Reich SS Totenkopf ring cast in 800 silver. Worn to show loyalty to Adolf Hitler this signet style ring is decorated in a skull and engraved German writing with dark oxidisation in the low points.
The ring is in good vintage condition showing some wear and the pitting marks you'd expect to see in a cast piece. It came to us having been cut from a finger so we have had our jeweller rejoin the band at the back and lightly polish it.
The ring is stamped '800' and 'DRGM' on the inside. DRGM is an acronym of " Deutsches Reichsgebrauchmuster" which means that the design was officially registered in all German states. This mark was used between 1891 and 1952.
The ring is size R-1/2 (UK), size 9 (US) and it weighs 6.9 grams.
