A fabulous vintage genuine Baltic amber bead necklace. At a 22" long the necklace is strung with 65 olive shaped faceted amber beads that graduate in size.
The amber is natural, it is not reconstituted or a synthetic substitute like Bakelite. It is a beautiful rich cognac/honey colour and warm to the touch with organic inclusions within the beads.
The beads are strung onto golden yellow silk cord and the necklace fastens with a gold metal fish hook clasp.
MATERIALS: 65 natural Baltic amber beads, UV tested
MEASUREMENTS: 22" (56cm) long. Beads graduate from 15x10mm to 5x4mm
WEIGHT: 61 grams
DATE: mid-century circa 1960
CONDITION: in very good vintage condition with surface chips to one of the beads, the necklace cording is strong and with no signs of deterioration and the clasp is in perfect working order
