Fully hallmarked for 1976 this beautifully crafted English sterling silver bracelet has double curb links and a heart padlock clasp.
A Charles Horner piece, the bracelet in stamped throughout the links with a lion passant for sterling and hallmarked on the end rings and the padlock with a CH makers mark, date letter and lion passant. Extensive hallmarking is always a sign of high quality and the presence of the makers marks on the chain and padlock prove they are completely original to each other.
Charles Horner (1837–1896) was an English jeweller and founder of the Halifax jewellery business Charles Horner of Halifax. Charles Horner jewellery is sought after and very collectable today.
A lovely classic bracelet that never goes out of style, perfect for layering with your wrist mess or wearing alone as a signature piece. During the sentimental Victorian era these bracelets were often given to a sweetheart and they became a popular and enduring engagement gift.
