This fantastic Peruvian Tumi pendant depicts Inti, the Inca Sun God and is made in 950 silver (a higher grade of silver than sterling which is 925). The Tumi is an ancient ceremonial knife and the national symbol of Peru.
A quality piece in a fairly large size it is finely crafted and inlaid in a striking array of semi-precious gemstones. The figure has a wide semi-circular open headdress embellished in silver wire forming sun rays and figure of 8s and is set with a semi-circle cabochon of raw amethyst. The body is inlaid in tiles of red carnelian, blue lapis, green malachite, purple amethyst and white mother-of-pearl, a large carved freshwater pearl forms the semi-circular knife blade at the bottom. The top is finished in a large fan-shaped bale accented in black enamel.
Steeped in ancient culture and thought to bring good luck this beautifully ornate Tumi pendant will look incredible paired with a substantial silver chain to match his character. Please note the chain shown is not included.
