We can't help but be reminded of Burlington Bertie from Bow looking at this fab vintage 1940's "novelty" lapel pin brooch fashioned as a top hat & cane.
Hand-crafted in sterling silver and beautifully detailed the top hat has a bright brushed finish that mimics the texture of the Beaver fur that these old-fashioned hats were originally made from. The cane is equally as decorative set with a real garnet at the top.
This brooch has a sturdy pin back and closes with a roll-over clasp. It measures 2-1/4" (6cm) long and weighs 4.8 grams. It is stamped 'Sterling' on the back and remains in excellent condition!
