Stunning signed Hattie Carnegie Egyptian revival dramatic lotus flower enameled pendant necklace featuring a long substantial book chain and bright vibrant enameling.
A piece of couture history, the 1960s iconic Egyptian line is considered one of Hattie's most collectible designs. This is vintage American designer costume jewelry at its best!
The pendant is 1-3/4" wide and 4" tall. The superb bookchain is 22" long and features a spring ring clasp. Signed Hattie Carnegie on an oval plaque.
This necklace is in outstanding condition (looks unworn). There is a very slight blemish to one of the simulated turquoise beads that appears to be a manufacturing flaw as opposed to damage, mentioned for accuracy as it is not at all noticeable.
Hattie Carnegie designs are in the collection holdings of the Costume Institute at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Lifestyle & Fashion History in Boynton Beach, Florida.
