A beautiful silver filigree and carnelian necklace hailing from the Arts & Crafts period circa 1900.
This artistic piece is beautifully crafted, the fine filigree work is incredibly intricate with twisted wirework and delicate beadwork throughout in a lovely flower pattern. An oval dark red carnelian stone is set in the centre held in a fluted cup cake mount and an antique silver chain (that looks to be original) with a torpedo clasp completes the piece.
This well-crafted necklace is exemplary of the Arts & Crafts era and would make a unique and fabulous addition to any antique jewellery collection!
