A charming antique rolled gold double sided glass locket with a photo of a Victorian lady on one side and a lock of hair in the reverse.
This lovely locket can be enjoyed as it is or you could replace the pictures with your own photos. It opens by unscrewing the bail at the top allowing access to the photo compartment inside. Gently remove the pair of glass covers, replace the photos and reassemble the locket, the screw mechanism aligns perfectly to close the locket and screws back tightly to keep the contents secure.
Rolled gold (gold filled) is a bonded overlay of solid gold, it is much thicker than modern electroplating and can withstand plenty of wear without loss to the gold layer.
We have added a complimentary 18" gold vermeil (gold plated sterling silver) belcher chain for immediate wear. Our chains are new and made in Italy, they are high quality and fully hallmarked. The belcher or rolo chain with its elegant round links is one of the most popular antique style neck chains still available today and they are perfect for these antique lockets.
