A massive high quality vintage 1980s rhinestone rose brooch from Butler & Wilson, an iconic British maker of collectable costume jewelry.
Superbly crafted with thick gold plating and green enameling to the leaf tips the brooch is densely encrusted with pave set Swarovski crystals in shades of amber, green and gold.
Dimensional the brooch is heavily constructed in two pieces that are riveted together and it has 2 pin backs to support the weight and size. The brooch measures 4-1/2" high 3" wide and weighs 70 grams.
Condition is excellent with no missing stones that we can see. There is a little minor tarnish to the gold plating here and there, nothing untoward, it looks to have been rarely worn. There is a makers mark stamped on the stem that is illegible due to the thickness of the plating, we are fairly certain this is a B&W creation and it was discovered in this pink Butler & Wilson iconic box which comes with it.
