A beautifully elegant antique 9ct gold brooch set with a carved neoclassical cameo of Flora, goddess of flowers. The brooch is solidly constructed so it is a fairly substantial piece and the carving is superb with very pretty detailing. The geometric gold setting echoes the neoclassical style of the cameo perfectly. A sturdy pin back completes this lovely piece that dates to the Edwardian era.
The brooch measures 2-1/4" (55mm) in length with the cameo measuring 23x19mm. It is stamped "9ct" on the back and weighs 6.5 grams. It is in excellent condition with minimal signs of wear and the cameo free of flaws.
