This large dramatic brooch has a stylized Aztec face design carved out of green onyx. The headdress is applied filigree wire work and ball shapes with dangling half sphere earrings. There is an M shaped makers mark, 925 and Mexico. Wonderful example of the artistry seen in vintage Taxco jewelry. This brooch measures 2" by I-1/2" and weighs 16.6 grams.
