Magnificent, this is the largest and heaviest antique silver granite brooch that we have ever come across!
Beautifully made the brooch showcases a very large Scottish agate granite stone banded in wavy lines. The silver frame features a braided rope trim decorated with embossed flower motifs.
The Victorians were absolutely fascinated with the natural world and these picturesque examples of Scottish agates were sought after and treasured fueled by Queen Victoria's great love and affection for Scotland and the jewelry created there.
