A beautiful Charles Horner engraved wide silver belt bangle bearing full Chester hallmarks for 1946.
It is a real treat to see silver from Chester, the assay office closed many many moons ago and these rare hallmarks are desirable and attract a premium.
The bracelet is fashioned in a classic Victorian design and engraved in a beautiful aesthetic pattern of ferns and scrolls. The adjustable belt design ensures this bracelet will fit most wrist sizes.
It is a joy to still see the original 'belt loop' tab in place, not only is it an integral part of the original design, it also secures the bracelet and helps the end to stay flat when fastened. Sadly, all to often, the tab is missing.
