Wonderfully detailed vintage silver buckle ring bright engraved in a traditional fern pattern and adorned at the front with a crescent moon shaped buckle. A band style ring rendered in sturdy gauge silver with a beautiful mirror polish it has a D-profile.

The engraving covers 3/4 of the way around the ring with the back left smooth. Dates to around 1950 or so and Victorian revival in style this is a classic antique designed ring, just gorgeous and perfect for wear as a signature piece or grouping with other rings. Will arrive in the ring box shown, perfect for safekeeping!

A popular ring style since Victorian times the buckle symbolised eternity, fidelity and protection and this type of ring was often given as a loving gift to sweethearts. Likewise the fern is a Victorian tradition, they had an obsession with ferns and the national pastime of fern hunting led to a widespread shortage and near extinction in the British Isles!
