A particularly good antique cherry amber bead necklace hailing from the Art Deco era 1920's-1930's
At a sassy 40" (102cm) long this luxurious necklace is an elegant length and continuous, it doesn't have a clasp and simply pops over the head. The necklace reaches to about waist level depending on your height/build, it drapes perfectly and it can be worn doubled. There are 80 amber beads strung onto the original hand-knotted thick silk necklace cord in a rose gold colour.
The hand-carved beads measure 11-12mm in diameter and they are a bright glowing red with a fabulous clear translucency. The weight of the necklace is 71 grams. A beautiful antique necklace all round and in excellent condition with no signs of any deterioration in the cord or damage to the beads.
