Evoking a bygone era of elegance this beautifully feminine Edwardian period Scottish bloodstone ring bears good clear 9ct gold hallmarks for Chester 1916.
A signet ring style it is crafted in warm rosy 9ct gold in a delicate Etruscan revival design with gold beading and scrolled shoulders. The face is set in a oval Bloodstone cabochon in a deep forest green colour with red flecking throughout. Far from being masculine the ring is daintily constructed with an elegant low profile, it isn't big and bulky but it still provides wonderful finger coverage.
This classic antique ring unusually comes in a larger than average finger size and another bonus is that jewellery hallmarked in Chester is particularly sought after, the assay office closed in 1962 resulting in these historical hallmarks becoming more scarce.
