This beautiful antique sterling silver mechanical pencil and letter opener combo is a fine collector's piece and an all round exquisite example of Edwardian craftsmanship.
Fully hallmarked and made by Francis Webb in the year 1915 every inch of silver is intricately engraved in a pretty forget-me-not pattern. There is a vacant cartouche on one side to accommodate a monogram if you choose to have it engraved for a personal touch. The top of the pencil is crafted in an elliptical shape so you can use it as a letter opener.
The bottom of the pencil is made of gutta percha, a natural type of thermoplastic material and it turns clockwise and counter clockwise to propel the pencil lead forward and backward. The pencil lead inside is 0.75"/1.85mm diameter.
Fully functioning she is as pretty as she is practical. Perfect for displaying on a desk or dressing table, this beautiful piece will make a quality gift for a writer or artist friend!

MEASUREMENTS: 4" (10.2cm) long, 8.1mm diameter
