Circa 1800, this beautiful antique Georgian mourning brooch is crafted in warm old 9ct gold and exquisitely decorated in carved floral detailing with a black enamel frame and the words "In Memory Of" engraved in Old English gold lettering. It has a glass locket compartment in the front containing a weave of blonde hair. The reverse of the brooch has a typical pin back with a c-clasp and it also benefits from a bale with a jump ring so you could add a chain or ribbon and wear it as a pendant.
A beautiful addition to any Georgian or mourning jewellery collection, this classic beauty has carried tender sentiment for over 200 years!
