A superb top quality antique rolled gold fob chain made by the exclusive American company Bates & Bacon (1867-1943) who were notable for producing very high quality gold filled jewellery and watch cases.
This fob chain is an absolute beauty and exceptionally ornate. The top features an embossed clip that is stamped "PAT'D SEPT. 22 03' (1903). Multiple rows of fancy box link chain between golden crowns, suspend from the clip and terminate in an elaborate large size fob pendant that is decorated in flowers and tiny gold beading. It also has a chain with a swivel clip to attach to a pocket watch.
Evoking the bygone age of Edwardian elegance this fabulous antique American fob chain will look fabulous clipped to a waistcoat or jacket. An exceptional example of its type and a fine collectors piece!
