A very sweet first World War era silver Piqué work style sweetheart brooch bearing good clear hallmarks for London, 1916.
Excellent quality the front of the brooch is set in a round slice of tortoiseshell that is inlaid in a silver British Royal Army Medical Corps miniature badge. The lovely detailing shows a crowned 'Rod of Asclepius' resting within laurel sprays and R.A.M.C. engraved underneath.
A charming piece of antique sweetheart jewellery, good for the ladies or the gents and very collectible too!
