A darling little antique sterling silver Scottish thistle brooch by Charles Horner, a designer at the forefront of the British Arts and Crafts movement. A charming piece, both wearable and collectable, Charles Horner pieces are very sought after.
Very much in the Art Nouveau style this brooch, that could easily be worn on a tie, stock or cravat, is fashioned in an beautiful curling ribbon design with a carved purple paste (glass) amethyst forming the flower head of the thistle.
Good for the ladies or the gents, this beloved emblem of Scotland will sit pretty pinned anywhere!
