A classic bit of Victorian kit it features graduated curb links, a long T-bar, dog-clip and a very large shield shaped fob engraved "WSC 1901-1902" to the front. This engraving has worn smooth over the decades so you could easily have it polished out and engraved in your initials for a personal touch.
With its thick solid silver links this chain is wonderfully tactile and smooth as silk giving it a snake-like feel as you move it around in your hand. HALLMARKS: Fob stamped 'lion passant' for sterling, 'anchor' for Birmingham, date letter 'b' for 1901 and makers mark 'JY'. T-bar stamped 'lion passant', date letter 'a' . Clip and chain stamped throughout the links with worn marks. All components are acid tested and verified sterling.
MEASUREMENTS: total length from the end to the clip to the bottom of the fob is 20-1/2" (52cm) Measures 16-1/2" (42cm) from the clip to the T-bar (the drape length). Fob drop length is 4-1/2" (11.5cm). Fob 39x25mm. T-bar 41mm. Clip 22x8mm. Curb links graduate from 12x10mm, 2.7mm thick to 9x6.5mm, 1.85mm thick

CONDITION: In very good condition antique condition with expected surface wear, scratches and light dings but nothing detrimental. The clip is in good working order fastening securely. This piece has been professionally cleaned and polished and is ready to wear or give as a gift.
