A lovely pair of antique Victorian Etruscan revival drop earrings crafted in gold gilt (gold plated sterling silver).
The earrings have shepherd hook ear wires with long swinging pendants decorated with diamond cut orbs and pointed finial ends. They have lovely movement when worn with the diamond cut orbs catching the light as they swing.
The earrings are in very good condition given age with some surface wear but the gold plating still pretty much intact and not showing the silver underneath. The earrings are hollow and do have signs of being worn and enjoyed, there are a few tiny dings which are magnified in the close-up photos and not nearly as noticeable to the eye. The reflective surface on the facets is causing unsightly distortion and colours in the photos too so please excuse us!
The earrings measure 1-5/8" (4cm) in total length, the drop pendants are 1-1/8" (3cm) with the orbs measuring 9mm diameter. They are feather weight at 2 grams in total so are very comfortable to wear.
