This antique Art Deco 9ct gold synthetic Alexandrite solitaire ring is absolutely gorgeous displaying a beautiful colour change depending on the light source. Vibrant purple in the sunshine with flashes of violet, pink, red and blue it morphs into a dreamy lilac colour in incandescent light.
The incredible 5ct sparkling oval gemstone is hugged in four gold claws above a very pretty basket setting with heart shaped scroll motifs. Slender nipped shoulders that lead to an elegant V-shaped band complete this beautiful piece.
The gemstone has been tested and verified using a Presidium Gem Tester. Synthetic colour change Alexandrite and Sapphire are real gemstones with exactly the same properties and qualities as their natural earth-mined sisters, the only difference is that they have grown in a laboratory instead of the ground. One of finest qualities a synthetic gemstone possesses is that it is completely guilt-free!
This ring remains in very good condition however a tiny tip of one of the scrolls near where the shoulder meets is missing. It is not particularly noticeable when worn and doesn't affect the integrity of the ring (the scrollwork is purely decorative and not functional so the gemstone is still tightly held in the 4 claws) There is also a miniscule chip on the very edge of the stone which can be felt rather that seen. We have priced the ring with condition in mind, please see the photos which are taken in extreme closeup to show you every tiny detail.
