A beautiful antique 9ct gold genuine négligée necklace hailing from the Edwardian era.
The négligée is a necklace of fine links with two parallel pendants that are suspended at different lengths so they are asymmetric. It was a fashionable style during the brief Edwardian era but not many of them have survived due to their delicacy.
The necklace is set with faux seed pearls and French cut paste sapphires at the front separated by an ellipse shaped gold separator. A very fine gold trace chain completes the necklace which fastens with a small bolt ring. An iconic and elegant antique necklace that is bound to attract compliments!
