Fabulous lot of 3 iconic Art Deco celluloid ring boxes dating to the 1920's and 1930's. Perfect for staging rings in a shop or collection, storing them safely, gifting, or for use as props for photography!
1. Italian faux tortoiseshell ring box fashioned in a fabulously detailed clam shell design, very stylish! It has a tall hinged lid and a push button closure with a cream satin and velvet interior and a tab for a ring rather than a slot. Stamped 'Made in Italy' along with a makers mark that we can't make out on the bottom.
2. Cream colored celluloid double ring box with a geometric floral design and columns on the top. Circa 1920 it has a cream satin interior, a hinged lid and raised feet. It has two ring slots so likely for a wedding ring set and it is stamped 'made in USA' and 'patent pending' on the base with a diamond shaped logo and 'SUC'
3. Versailles/duck egg blue celluloid wedding set double ring box, another adorable clam shell shape and very decorative with a scroll decoration around the inside. Cream satin and pink velvet interior with slots for two rings. It is printed inside the lid 'Land's Inc. Jewelers, 197 Fayetteville St. Raleigh, N.C.' and stamped 'Made in USA' and 'W&S, New York' on the bottom.
CONDITION: All of the boxes are in pre-loved condition with some wear and staining as expected with ring boxes this age. The hinges are all in good shape and the catch on the Italian tortoiseshell box is in perfect working order and closes with a satisfying snap. Please refer to the photos as they form a good part of the description!
