Circa 1790 a magnificent pair of gold long pendant drop Georgian earrings carpeted in antique rough rose-cut diamonds. Intricately crafted and incredibly ornate these earrings are rugged and organic with a raw antique beauty.
The gold drops aren't marked and test around 8ct while the large shepherd hook ear wires are 18ct and hallmarked. These hooks are later replacements.
Condition overall very good, some light wear and a little dark patina commensurate with age and use. The diamonds are very rugged with rough edges and small fissures in places.
Brimming in stature and character these rare Georgian earrings are steeped in antique appeal.
