A beautiful 9ct gold red & white banded carnelian 9ct gold fichu brooch that dates to the latter Georgian period c1820. A dainty piece of the fashionable 'Scottish pebble' jewellery that would have perfectly suited the lightweight floral gowns worn in the Regency era.
The dusty pink gemstone is cabochon cut with a gentle pillowed profile. It is semi translucent and spotted with subtle banding around the edge and an ethereal silver-grey centre. The stone is set into a 9ct rosy red gold bezel and accented in delicate beaded claws.
