A charming antique sterling silver Connemara marble sweetheart brooch hailing from the Victorian era. Connemara marble or "Irish green" is a rare variety of marble found only in Connemara, Ireland and used as as gemstone.
This dainty silver scrollwork brooch features 3 carved heart shaped stones in a shamrock motif in the centre flanked by shamrocks at each side. It has a sturdy pin back with a t-hinge and c-clasp. Circa 1900, it is in lovely condition with no chipping to the stones and the pin back in perfect working order. Measures 1-5/8" (45mm) in length, weighs 2.7 grams. No hallmarks and has been acid tested.
A classic good luck token and perfect for the cravat, lapel or tie and equally at home as a charming stock pin for the equestrian. Absolutely adorable and a perfect little gift for the antique jewellery lover!
