This fantastic heavy duty Victorian Albert watch chain is stamped throughout the links with the British lion passant for sterling - a sign of a quality in an antique chain.
Crafted in solid sterling silver it is a fabulously "loose" curb chain with large links and it's a "single Albert" so it is worn to one side of the waistcoat. It weighs in at an impressive 53 grams and it has an extra long T-bar with a large dog-clip that will comfortably accommodate the largest sizes of pocket watches.

MATERIALS: sterling silver
MEASUREMENTS: 12-3/4" (32cm) end to end. Curb links 18x9mm, 2.6mm thick. Dog-clip 28x10mm, T-bar 1-5/8" (4.2cm) long
HALLMARKS: stamped 'lion passant' for sterling throughout the links, dog-clip stamped 'lion passant', date letter 'x' for 1897 and a worn makers mark. T-bar stamped 'lion passant' date letter 'b' for 1901 and makers mark 'W.G.M' for Walter & George Myers silversmiths that were located in Birmingham's historic jewellery quarter.
WEIGHT: 53.3 grams
CONDITION: in really good antique condition with light scratches and surface wear in keeping with age, the dog-clip which is fixed (not a swivel) is in great working order opening and closing properly.
