A beautiful vintage 1970s sterling silver locket & chain very much in the Edwardian style.
Classically English the locket is an elegant elongated oval with a flat slim profile and is bright polished. It is decorated around the edge on the front in a traditional line and dot chased engraved pattern with the back left plain.
The locket opens from the side to reveal two compartments for photos, the picture rings are built in so photos simply tuck behind the lip. It still has its original blue paper liners but there are no plastic covers in this one, we do have replacement sheets available if you wanted to cut them to fit, just make a note that you want a plastic sheet on your order.
The locket is a generous size that will accommodate fairly large photos. There is a curved 'hook' at the side that holds it closed, it doesn't click closed like your usual lockets but it is a secure fastener and it stays shut without a problem. The locket suspends from a sterling silver belcher chain so it is ready to wear right out of the box, a lovely vintage locket necklace in an elegant classic style, perfect for layering with your neck mess!

CONDITION: In very very good vintage condition, there is light surface wear and minor small dings as you would expect in any used vintage item, please see the photos.
