A timeless and elegantly proportioned "sweetheart" bracelet featuring curb links and a charming heart shaped padlock. The bracelet is stamped throughout links with the British lion passant for sterling - always a sign of a quality chain.
No key is required to open the heart shaped padlock, it simply pushes in at the nub to open and it locks closed with a satisfying snap.
A classic English silver curb chain bracelet that never goes out of style, perfect for layering or wearing alone as a signature piece. During the sentimental Victorian era this style of bracelet was often given to a sweetheart or fiancée as a loving gift and they became popularly known as engagement bracelets!

HALLMARKS: 'lion passant' for sterling stamped throughout the bracelet links. The padlock is stamped 'SILVER' along with 'lion passant', 'anchor' for Birmingham, date letter italic 'P' for 1963

CONDITION: in excellent vintage condition with just light surface wear & scratches. The bracelet is beautifully polished with no tarnish and the padlock is in perfect working order.
