Hallmarked for 1977 this lovely English silver locket is engraved with a letter "S" on the front, perhaps you are S or know of an S, or even have a "sweetheart" that will adore this!
The locket is engraved on the front in a pretty Art Nouveau inspired pattern with the ornate initial inside a delightful rhombus shaped cartouche. The top is decorated in a fan shaped ribbed bale and it opens from the side to reveal 2 stations for photos. The picture rings are fixed in place so photos simply tuck underneath to hold them in place.
It is the perfect medium size for daily wear and we have added a new Italian sterling silver anchor link chain for immediate wear. The chain has flat cut links which adds extra sparkle. This lovely vintage English sterling silver locket is ready to wear right out of the box, a perfect jewellery gift or nice little treat for yourself.

MEASUREMENTS: locket 1-3/8" (3.5cm) tall measured with the bale, 3/4" (2cm) wide, 6mm deep, chain 16" (42cm) long

HALLMARKS: locket stamped 'lion passant' for sterling. 'anchor' for Birmingham, date letter 'C' for 1977 & makers mark 'EFC'. Chain stamped '925' and 'star', 620 & AR for Italy
CONDITION: in very, very good condition with light wear and minor surface scratches as expected in a vintage locket. It closes tightly with a solid click. Please disregard any yellowish discoloration which is simply reflections, this piece is bright white silver
