This glamorous vintage sterling silver cocktail ring is stamped with British hallmarks for 1977 and showcases an oval-faceted smoky quartz gemstone of around 3.50cts. The gorgeous stone is a earthy cool brown with a purple tones in bright sunlight. It is held tightly in a tall scalloped basket which gives it a showy flower head appearance. The ring finished in a thick silver band.
With its chic over-sized floral design and marvellous finger coverage this striking smoky quartz ring is a real statement piece. Smoky quartz gemstones are known as "Cairngorms" in Scotland and are thought to have magical powers!

MEASUREMENTS: ring size UK/L, US/5-3/4. The face of the ring measures 17x15mm and stands 8.6mm tall, band 2.5mm wide
HALLMARKS: stamped 'lion passant' for sterling, 'leopard head' for London, date letter 'c' for 1977 and makers mark 'Gx'

CONDITION: in very good vintage condition showing just light wear and no chips or nicks to the gemstone
