This fabulous antique Arts & Crafts rose quartz statement ring dates to around 1910 and is in a larger finger size. Hand wrought in sterling silver the ring showcases a delicate pale pink 17.50ct rose quartz cabochon with an ethereal cloudy translucence. The huge gemstone is cut into a fat oval with a gently pillowed top and it is set in a deep bezel that leads to wide openwork shoulders decorated with scrolling tendrils arranged in a floral motif.
A perfect piece for lovers of antique Arts and Crafts design, this ring encompasses the movement's love of the natural world and its a bold statement of Edwardian emancipation. In addition to being January's birthstone, rose quartz is considered the gemstone of love and believed to evoke feelings of romance and sweetness, it is also supposed to make the wearer look years younger! CONDITION: in very, very good condition showing signs of gentle wear and minor tarnish as expected in an antique piece. The quartz shows natural feathery and linear inclusions, under very close magnification there is a little light surface wear to the top but nothing untoward.
