Circa 1900 this statement size antique Austrian hallmarked 800 silver picture pendant necklace contains a charming memento, a remnant of Victorian embroidery! The cross stitched cherub is sitting on a floral bough and protected behind glass that has a decorative bevelled border. The front of the pendant eases out to access the interior, you could wear this piece as it is or replace the contents with your own precious keepsake or photo.
The top of the pendant is finished in a large oval jump ring and it suspends from a quality vintage Italian heavy duty sterling silver curb chain so this charming antique piece is ready to wear right out of the box or give as a gift.

MEASUREMENTS: pendant measured without the bale 1-1/2"/3.8cm tall by 1-1/4"/3cm wide, 4.4mm deep. Chain 19"/48cm long
HALLMARKS: pendant stamped with an early Austrian pictorial assay mark, we can only read 'A' for Vienna and '4' for 800 silver. Also stamped 'H.Sch' makers mark. Chain stamped '925' and 'Italy'
WEIGHT: 11.3 grams
DATE: Victorian, circa 1900
CONDITION: in very good condition showing wear and use consistent with an antique age. The embroidery has some age related staining and fraying around the edge. Note any dark spots in the silver are reflections
