Quintessentially Edwardian, this lovely antique rolled gold locket engraved on the front in a graceful floral vine motif and set with a tiny real ruby. Made by Kollmar & Jourdan of Pforzheim, Germany it is curricular in shape with an elegant slim profile. The gold is a subtle warm rosy colour and it opens from the top to reveal 2 stations for your photos along with a round picture frame.
The locket is in good condition showing moderate wear to the rolled gold/gold filled layer with patches of the base metal showing through as pitted areas on the reverse, we have taken this into consideration when pricing. Please see photos. Note dark spots are reflections.
This locket is still a charming antique piece that deserves to be treasured again and we have added a new rose gold vermeil (gold plated sterling silver) belcher/rolo chain so she is ready to wear or give as a gift.
