A distinctive and unusual ring crafted from an antique 1862 French 5 centime bronze coin bearing the original engraving around the inside.
This is a solid and hefty court style band ring with lots of age to it. Superb workmanship with the lettering perfectly aligned and crisp it reads " Napoleon III Empereur 1862" along with "Barre" (for Albert Désiré Barre who was the chief engraver for the Paris Mint) plus an anchor and a fly symbol. The bronze metal is a deep golden red so it looks like antique rose gold.
Beautiful ring steeped in history, a perfect antique gift for the dapper dandy and it would make for a unique wedding band.
